Connecting monitor to PSU
Quick question:
Is it better to connect my monitor's power cable to a regular socket rather than to the PSU? Does it cause a greater load on the PSU or is it a separate circuit?

if you actually have a power supply that has a socket on it for an inverse power cord to your monitor, then you are lucky.
but, although it runs through the same main switch, and the same main cord, it does not run through your power supply in any other way. so, it will add strain to the pc's power cord, and main switch (the one on the power supply) but that's it.
