Palm Tungsten E2 expansion card
I recently bought a PDA for work and I have been having a terrible time getting my nursing downloads onto it. I bought a 2G external memory card only to find out that it would only support a 1G card. Now, I have the 1G card but when I download and sync the programs, the Hot Sync says that I need to format the SD card. When I try to format the external memory card the PDA says that the card is "read-only" and that it cannot be formatted. Can you tell that I am not the most technologically savvy? I have no idea what to do next!

Re: Palm Tungsten E2 expansion card
Have you checked the Write Protect switch on the side of the SD card?
When viewed from the front (as inserting the card into the Tungsten) the switch wil be at the right bottom of the card. It should be labelled Lock in the upper direction - make sure this switch is set to the lower position. (the switch may have been knocked accidentally when inserting it into the slot - be careful!) Can you tell me what you are using to the format the card? do you have a SD card reader on your PC? (not essential but useful!) |
