Urgent Assistance With Keyboard
Okay, so ill write my problem.
I have some hp keyboard its worked for the past...3 years just fine and i love it, but recently iv been having this problem. So i boot my computer up and my keyboard is working fine, but while its on the WINDOWS XP loading screen after a while the mouse and keyboard will...you could say shut off for a split second(the lights on them go out) and my keyboard stop working how ever my mouse works fine. Also when i try reconnecting it it will make the sound of a hardware device being plugged in (deedoo) but after that it will make the sound 3 times of the a hardware device being disconnected (deedee) :D anyways...yea iv managed to fix it sometimes by randomly plugging it into my usb ports at other times after i do it about...20-30 times it wont even make the sound of being plugged in. Also im on a p4s800 mobo if that has anything to do with the problem, and also its not my power source because i tried unplugging my drives, video card ect and to no avail nothing...so any suggestions? any help would be thanked :) Also please give detailed instructions without using UBER COMPUTER TERMS that most people like me wont under stand :( thanks a bunch. Also it seems that like when i unplug my mouse and quickly insert the keyboard into that usb it starts to work :| Last edited by marcovis; 01-28-2008 at 05:41 PM. |

Re: Urgent Assistance With Keyboard
You may need to reload your USB drivers. Have you considered going to a standard PS2 keyboard and mouse? You know the one with the green and purple round connectors that plug into the back of your computer?
