Question DVD burner problem

I have a liteon DH-20A4P08C burner that I have jsut purchased and it will not autorun and cd or DVD. If you try and run it manually you get an error for cd's saying this is setup.exe is not a valid win32 appication or if you try to run autorun.exe you get the message only part of a read process memory or write process memory request was completed and for DVD's it states the DVD is damaged dirty etc

Re: DVD burner problem

Hi daveaus38, something is not right with the drive, first make sure you have the drive jumpered correctly for the way it is installed.
Open the Windows Explorer
Highlight the CD-ROM drive, right-click the CD-ROM drive and click properties.
Click the AutoPlay tab. Within this section you will be able to specify all Windows AutoPlay features.
I would look for a firmware update to at least try to avoid returning the drive. It very easy to update
If still no success, I would return the drive for an exchange. Mike
