Problem whe i use my Pendrive!! (urgent help needed!!!)

Hi everyone,

Woundering if you would be able to helo me with this little problem. I have recently formated my computer because i inserted my pendrive and it restarded automaticly and then wouldnt boot properly!! I formated it about 2 weeks ago now and it has been working fine scince then but today i went to put my pendrive in and it restarted on my again!! i tryed it a couple of time again and the same problem acured. A couple of weeks ago we had a few a power cuts and i am thinking that it might be the power suplly that isnt working properly and when you plug it in and it tries to pull more power and the computer restarts.

exactly what pendrive? did you try it on another computer to see if it reacts differently? Does it have u3 or some other portable applications utility on it?

Yes i have tryed it in another computer and it works fine, and its just a standard 2Gb pendrive with nothing o it. It doesnt matter if i plug another pendrive in the computer does the same thing, just restarts..... but only within the fist 15 mins after turning on the computer, then it works fine!! this is why i thought it was something to do with the power supply.

Perhaps your USB port on the motherboard is defective. As you said you have tried other pendrive. Perhaps you want to try another USB port. If it still does the same, it would be better to post the error log

Right click on my computer, hit the advance tab. Under startup and recovery. hit the settings tab. Uncheck the automatically restart button and hit ok

Next time you plug in your pendrive, the computer won't restart automatically. Instead it will show you a blue screen with the error msg. Post what the msg is
