printer no progress report
I 've got a canon pixma iP1000 printer .It use to show printing progress and the ink levels as soon as printing started .The printer still works fine but no longer shows the progress report .I uninstalled the printer program and re-installed it but it still does not show the report.Please help!

Hi, You might try to reset the waste ink tank counter
4 steps to Reset waste ink tank counter CANON PIXMA iP 1000 STEP 1:- Disconnect printer from AC power STEP 2:- Press and HOLD the POWER button, and connect printer to AC power STEP 3:- Release the the POWER button STEP 4:- Press the POWER button again

Anytime I work on a computer or computer parts that have been spiked or surged by electricity. Every part of the machine is suspect to defect. Mike
