Creative 3220 power issue

I bought a set of Creative I-Trigue 3220 speakers and have made absolutely sure that everything is plugged into the correct sockets and securely. However, although it is plugged into the mains, I turned on the speakers (using the wired controller) to find no power at all.

I think the problem lies in the plug supplied with the speakers. It is a 2-pin Euro plug. The box did include a 3-pin UK converter into which the Euro plug is slotted. It has been screwed on and we have tried replacing the fuse, but to no avail.

What is going wrong?

Re: Creative 3220 power issue

Yes, I have turned the volume up.

It was in the OFF position, I turned it, it then clicked and displayed 2. The unit does not turn on - the controller's LED doesn't light up.
