My dvd writable is on recognizing blank dvds

My LITEON 18x dvd writable used to be able to write dvds. Now for some reason. Everytime I insert a blank dvd. Its shows that it is a blank cd. I updated the driver and firmware. But it just doesnt seem to work. Please help me!! Thank you all!!

have you done any region code changes to your dvd writer?

Yes. I did everything and still it is not recognizing blank dvds.

Might have something to do with the number of times you changed region codes. I think you are allowed 4
