Webcam software

I have just purchased an Advent 9125 laptop (Vista home premium) which has an integrated webcam. The problem is there is no software to use the webcam.I can use the webcam with msn, but I was wanting some software to enable me to use the webcam for taking photos, video clips, etc.Has anyone any suggestions of any software I can use .Thank you.

Re: Webcam software

Tried quite a few of those, cant get any working.Strange why none will work. When I go to device manager and click the + next to imaging devices,it shows a usb2 webcam, when I click it it says manufacturer Microsoft.I know the webcam works because it will work with msn.Any ideas anyone.

Re: Webcam software

my only other suggestion would be if you have msn running in the background, turn it off and see if the webcam will work. Otherwise since it is a new computer, you may need to contact advents tech support and put your warranty to work.
