Product Question: USB Hub

Hi
Any one wish to suggest a good USB hub? Exp. shows some are better than others and some need an additional power adapter (usually if not plugged into the back) - I'd rather not have another power adapter.
Need 4 ports.
Thank you for your time

Re: Product Question: USB Hub

the self powered hubs are the best ones to use as the power available via the computer usb ports is limited

Re: Product Question: USB Hub

Nothing fancy - phone charger, ext. HDD (already has power adapter), ext. media card reader, maybe ex. optical drive, mouse etc. I have 3 CPUs, 2 notebooks, and a bad back.

Re: Product Question: USB Hub

If you are going to be powering a phone charger, media card reader etc then you are more than likely going to need the additional power of a self powered hub, I've used both self powered and unpowered hubs from Targus for some time with no issues, though there are many others who make good ones
