My System

card reader goes walkabout

I have a generic multi-format card reader installed in my system and it works just fine, only problem is that every so often the pc "loses" it. I have to open up the case and un plug the connections and reconnect before the drives will be recognised again.
Does anyone know why this happens and what I can do to stop it as it is very very annoying.
My motherboard is the ASUS A5B deluxe, reader is cheap generic one listed here http://www.ebuyer.com/product/115732

Re: card reader goes walkabout

When you remove a card do you click on the safely remove hardware icon? If you do this will cause you to "lose" the reader. You only need to pull the card when you are done.
