Upgrading Ram problem
I currently have a P4 3.2 with 2x 256 (dual channel) ddr 3200 memory. I bought a 2x512mb Kit to upgrade my system ram. Running on WinXP. My system supports up to 4mb of ram.
The problem is that with the memory installed it just shows 1gb of ram (not 1.5gb like I had thought). I'm currious if most motherboards require the same size chips or if I just need to tweak some settings to make this work. Thanks for any help! |
