Hiya-
I have an IBM 365x thinkpad. My monitor is all white you can see the shadows of the icons but its very hard to read. I went through the service manual and it said to reset the lcd connection but it didnt say how you do this or where you find it on the comp. Can anyone help me? |

Reset LCD
I think I have figured out what is wrong with it but I have no idea how to fix it. When I push on the bottom left corner of the case protecting the lcd panel the screen comes back to normal and is perfect but if I let up on that one spot it goes back to looking at a negative in the light. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks |

Could be a poor connection between the backlight and its power source, or between the video card system and the display. This will require a visit to a repair center, or if you're good with these things, a couple of hours of tweaking to get it normal again. I would really advise against going about this yourself, as it will void your warranty (if it's still valid) and could make it worse. I'd estimate the repair cost to be about 60 dollars; possibly more if it takes more time.
Check with your warranty- if it's not expired, you may be able to have the repairs done at no cost to you other than shipping. |
