Two questions about Linksys
Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum.
Here is is my setup. SURFboard SB5100 cable modem WRT54GS Linksys Wireless - G Broadband Router with Speedbooster WMP54GS Linksys Wireless - G PCI adapter with Speedbooster Ok. On my computer I have something that keeps bothering me on the connectivity icon in my tasbar. It'll go from 48.0 mbps to 54.0 mbps and then stay at 54.0 mbps for a long long long time, maybe only once or twice going down to 48.0 mbps. Is this normal? Also, with the speedbooster, the tech support guy at Linksys said the overall speed obtained by using my PCI with speedbooster and router with speedbooster, would be about 111 mbps. Is this true? And if it is true, how come it does not show that increase in the connectivity icon in my taskbar? PLEASE HELP!! thx |
