Did you try different USB ports for the printer? If not, try that. Tell you what, uninstall the printer and reinstall it and see if that helps. If the USB ports are working at USB 2.0 and your printer is not working, that sounds like a printer specific issue.

some new very importnat very bad informtation well maybe not maybe it will broaden ur sense on what could be wrong but the four usbs in the back do not work at all the one in the front conncets with an mp3 and stuff but the computer wont recognize it in windows media player or my computer as well when i insert a CD into the CD drive the cursor freezes i have a feeling this has to do with the system file sunkfilt.sys being deleted since it had to do with usbs and multimedia card readers im in desperate need ofhelp thanks

Keep testing and post back with results. Don't forget, you have to install the chipset drivers from the motherboard disk and also SP2 after you do this process. Let us know.

If you are using the restore CD and not the retail version, they should already be on there then. I was not aware you were using a restore copy. Is your rig working correctly now?
