Re: Sharing between 2 computers

If both of your PC's have an Ethernet connection go into your local PC store and ask for a crossover cable. That should sort you out. Otherwise buy yourself an ethernet router and hook up your PC's to that ... that should allow you to share info. Also make sure that you've got File and Print sharing set up on your PC.

Re: Sharing between 2 computers

Yes, I have a ADSL router with 4 ports. But I am not sure how to set it up for File and Print sharing and I just still wonder if there is any type of direct connection between 2 PCs so that I can have direct access from one to the other like files copying, moving....

Re: Sharing between 2 computers

OK well first of all you have to set up file and print sharing on your version of windows. Have you got both PC's connected to your ADSL router?
Go to Start -> Run type cmd, click ok then in the black window that opens type IPconfig and press return. Do this for both PC's and then paste your results in here. By doing this I should be able to see if both of your PC's are on your Local Area Network. Apologies if I'm giving you instructions in pigeon english, I'm not sure what level you're at!!!

Re: Sharing between 2 computers

They are not ready for this connection yet since I have only 1 cable connecting to the router!, I will buy another cable later. May I get back to you by then. Thanks!
