Samsung Syncmaster 932BF - TDU incompatibility???

I recently upgraded my old CRT 17" to a Samsung 19" 2ms Samsung 932BF. The monitor is amazing and all my games work fine...with the exception of TDU. It starts up the intro but as soon as the menu options are about to pop up...so my picture disappears. The screen moved to a desktop window (all black). I can still hear the music etc. The only aspect that I changed on my machine is the LCD. Swopping back to the CRT..it works fine??? I think iv'e pegged it down to the frequency. at 60hz (1280X1024) I get the above, any other freq....doesn't even load the intro, just dead. I've uninstalled and re-installed TDU...I've downloaded the updated drivers for my Nvidia 7600GT 256 pci - no luck, still the same response.
Anyone hear of monitor compatibility issues? GRAW, a demanding game also - works 100%, maybe I'm just being stupid!
Please please help.

most lcd's only run on 60hz

I have noticed that you can alter the freq. when changing resolutions down from 1280x1024-via Nvidia control panel...obviously not recommended for quality. Have you ever heard of LCD compatibility issues before. I have tried uninstalling magictune and powercolor that were loaded with the LCD driver disk...same story. As mentioned, the intro is fine (TDU boasting HD gaming etc etc)...it kicks out when a normal CRT flickers and switches to the games default res, and freq. - I just can't get it to pick up the LCD...
Any suggestions ?

in the nvida control panel with it set on 60 tick the box that says only show the frequencies that this monitor supports
never run one out of frequency it can damage the monitor,you should also be able to find the frequency in the manual
my samsung will only run at 60 on anything else you get no screen

Thanks Dai, will try it and let you know...it's more irritating than ground breakingly life threatening, as mentioned everything else works 100% on the LCD, most likely some setup setting that I can't find to default TDU to 60hz. Getting a tad late in SA, will try in the am, Cheers,.
