Incorrect keyboard characters

I have an ASUS PC4800 Deluxe motherboard. When I boot into DOS, some of the characters give the wrong output. For example, the '\' key produces 'é'. I have tried the keyboard on another computer and it works properly, so it must be the BIOS on this board. I went to the ASUS website and downloaded/installed version 1019 BIOS. No change. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much...ST

Re: Incorrect keyboard characters

Unfortunately, there is no 'control panel' in DOS. I have looked in the BIOS to see if there is a keyboard setting but there is none.

Re: Incorrect keyboard characters

Sounds like you have a damaged ps2 port. Do you have a usb keyboard you can try?
