Question Dell Monitors?

I'm looking at buying a new LCD monitor, because the CRT one I use now takes up half my desk. I am just wondering if Dell is a good place to buy a monitor from? Does anyone have any problems with them? If so, do you have any recommendations for a better place to go?

Re: Dell Monitors?

depends on size and what you want to do with it. if you want to game my last look on there site didnt show good response times to what I want. I was at least 8ms or less perfer 5 or less. because I game
if you just want it for desktop work ie word excell etc... they will be fine and size is really kicker on price along with the resolution

make sure you get a resolution you want because if you get a nice one that you want the resolution higher or lower it may not look as good as the native resolution. ie blurry hard to read. etc....

Re: Dell Monitors?

I have a Dell 24 inch that replaced a 19" crt. At first I thought the 24" would be too big. Not so - Its magic. better in everyway and given me much more desk space.

A recent report in a photo mag that the Dell came out best of the LCDs for photography... Thats why I took the plunge. No regrets.

I got mine from eBay and saved a bucket load of cash - Suggest you think of that potential source.

Re: Dell Monitors?

Dell makes some nice flat panel LCDs and a couple good flat screen CRTs. They are pricey though, so consider some alternatives like Samsung, Acer, or Viewsonic if you are on a budget.
