I just got bak from a 2 week holiday from Corfu and ran upstairs to see my pc (yes i know im a sad hermit). i turned on the pc and the tower buzzed away as normal....... but the monitor just kept the amber LED on "power saving mode". hmmm i sed.... somebody had been loking after my dog n cat and my parents told her specificly not to touch my pc. i tryd my gpu... nothing.. difrent dvi.. nothing.... d-sub..... nothing....d-sub with a dvi adaptor on da end....nothing....DAMN!!! i jumpered my cmos and removed my gpu.... tryed wit my onboard gpu.....notin...... switched what ram slot my 2gb ddr2 was in.... nothing...WORK!! tryed a diffrent monitor.....nothing...cryed....nothing... i have no idea what is going on with my pc. im good wit pc's but this 1 has completly baffeled me. I got
Pentium D 935 3.33ghz LGA775 Gigabyte ga-vm900m MoBo 1x 2gb 667mhz ddrII ram 160gb primary SATA Hdd 6gb Backup hdd 450w psu that came wit my case. xblade pc case Zotac geforce 8500 1 dvd rw drive and 1 floppy drive dual booting xp home n vista ultimate.... sum1 plzz help...i got a 4 man lan tourny in like 3 days............

if you left the computer plugged into the power socket while you were away there may have been a power surge
try another psu in it

the whole pc was disconected cause if i was to leave my 5.1 plugged in it wud overheat... the psu aint the problem.. just tried a diffrent ( pentium 2) mobo n procesor wit like 64mb of ram and that worked fine... well i say fine... it was ultimatly slooooooooooooooooooooooow

ok... Just switched my 8600 to a 7100gs and still the same problem... im going round a m8ts to test my ram and if thats working sweet im taking a walk down to pc world..... bout time i got dual core anyway. Crysis here i come. and if its the RAM.... got a pc fair on sunday....... get 4gb for $90.... oh yeh thats alota ram. lol.
