No Post/blank monitor
Quite suddenly my computer began displaying the title malfunction - no post with blank monitors. I have tried/checked the following:
1. Reseated RAM and/or switched RAM positions. 2. Reseated video cards. 3. Used one or both video cards. 4. F8 or F1 during boot. 5. All monitors (I have a 3 screen multiple monitor setup) work on another computer. 6. Cleared the CMOS. 7. Removed all hardware except for a single monitor. 8. Am currently checking the keyboard. Nothing has worked so far. Anyone with any other thoughts? TIA lj |

Re: No Post/blank monitor
Do the fans spin up when you turn on the computer, and do they turn back off?
Try another PSU and see if you get any success. Also, try booting with only one stick of RAM, the video card, motherboard, processor, and a keyboard. See if you get anything. Repeat with each stick of RAM you have. Also, reseat the CPU to make sure it is secure in the socket. Reapply the thermal paste and reattach the heatsink, making sure it is 100% secure. Post your system specs using this as a guide: http://www.techsupportforum.com/558208-post1.html
