Wireless Keyboard doing random things
Hello I have a very big problem and it is very frustrating not knowing what is wrong. I own a Sony Viao PCV-V200g computer and it came with a wireless mouse and keyboard. I have tried asking Sony support and they gave me they regular "follow these steps" and they have done nothing. What is occurring is that when I try to type out anything it types out random letters or it types "re15.2". I have replaced the batteries and everything, as this just started happening 2 days ago. Also another thing is that when it starts to semi work it will open Microsoft Outlook whenever I press the volume button on the keyboard and sometimes just mute everything all together. Then I noticed today that when I picked up the keyboard and tilted it it started opening the Start menu and just opening a lot of programs and stuff. If anyone knows what to do here I would be very thankful. On another note I have also scanned for viruses and spyware, updated windows, and updated the recommended Sony keyboard drivers for my model. The only other thing that I have not tried yet is actually going to Safe mode and uninstalling the keyboard drivers then reinstalling them.
I had to type out this post on my other computer and I am subscribed to this thread for instant email notification. |

Re: Wireless Keyboard doing random things
Hi, and welcome to TSF!
![]() First, try the keyboard on another computer to check if if is an internal problem with the keyboard or the OS. Also, try another USB port if it is USB, and try front and rear ports.

Re: Wireless Keyboard doing random things
Well the thing is is that the keyboard is built into the computer, it's not a seperate entity as it came with the computer. This is what the computer looks like.
As you can see it is just like something I bought at the local computer store, and there is no way of actually unplugging it. I really don't wanna go out and have to buy a USB keyboard, but if it looks that way then I will. |

Re: Wireless Keyboard doing random things
It Does this keyboard operate wirelessly? If so, then it might be interference. Try moving other electronic devices away from it and if possibly, try the keyboard/computer in different locations.
