OS: win xp pro sp2

My System

os not showing 4 gig ram

sup all
i have got my self
4 gig ram
( 2x TWIN2X2048-6400C4 )

i use win xp pro and when i check system in control panel it says i have
3.50 gig of ram
is this an os problem

any help

os: win xp pro 32bit

no its not a problem, win xp does not recognise the full for gigs but its there and it works!

awesome setup,whisky! Probly got a couple grand in that,i'll bet. linderman's correct,window's way of cuttin' some slack in the noose. If/when the system needs what u can't see,you'll know it. Oh,boy,will you know it.

ye thanks for the reply

i wont be upgrading to vista nor the 8800 vid card

i only use this pc for games such as battlefield 2
untill some new game comes out thats the same
plus nvidia hasnt evan updates the forceware version its still

power supply is the thermaltake 520 power station
it blew up, there not that good -replaced with the CMPSU-620HX

thermaltake bigwater 745 pump got warn out and didnt take long either
for it to stop working, so i wouldnt recommending purchasing it with that pump
so i reverted back to there old pump bigwater SE pump witch is incased into the reservoir
and has lasted 2 years compared to the 745 that lasted not evan a year
monitor is viewsonic lcd vx922 19"
