System gets restarted when using PCTV
Hello every one,
I am new to this forum. I am very glad to hear that there are so many out there to help me when I am in real trouble. The problem I am facing is as follows: My operating system is WinXP SP2. The system gets restarted with out any warning when the PCTV is used for more than half an hour. I do have a BSNL (ADSL) modem connected to my PC and the TCP IP address entered. Please suggest me something so that I can watch tv at peace.... Thank you very much in advance

A more specific hardware list would be a great help here, if you could list your system components especially the graphics card and PSU, the PSU you will need to remove the case side and read from the label, if you need help figuring out the rest of your system download and run Everest (in my Sig) and that will tell you exactly what you have got.
Also leave everest running and take notice of the temperature's it gives you, they will show on your task bar by your clock, take note of when you first launch it, more so when the PC is starting from cold say after being off from the night before, then keep an eye on the temp's and start watching TV, again watch the temp's, what I am wondering is if you are overheating and that is causing your shut downs, speedfan is another application that will show your temp's, then report back with this info and we can go from there. |
