Hardware in question:
*Lexar single slot (usb) card reader *SanDisk microSD adapter *SanDisk 512mb MicroSD card I am having difficulties trying to get the appropriate folder to show. I go to My Computer and the 'removable disk' (drive F:) is on there, but when I go to open it, it says: 'please insert disk into drive F'. Everything is in the card reader securely and the proper green light in on the card reader. This only happens with my 512mb card. If I put in the 32mb card I have, the folder pops right up with no problems. I also know the 512mb card is fine as it plays the songs on my phone just fine. I have been able (once) to put songs on the card, but it was by some freak chance of the folder popping up (after the computer had been idle, and the folder popped up). Because before I had put the songs on there, it was doing the same as it is now. I tried the idle thing to see if it would work again, and it doesn't. I'm a little confused as to why it is doing this. I've tried it on several computers, but it still says the same thing. Any help would be much appreciated. Re: Removable storage
On the Lexar site, they have some XP drivers for people that are having trouble with the reader. The download includes step by step instructions on how to remove your current drivers and load the new ones.

Single Slot Multi-Card Reader Windows XP: no driver is required for your product. I see a xp sp2 driver for the SAFE PSD S1100, but I do not have this hardware.. Last edited by PrincessLiz; 05-02-2007 at 08:40 AM. |
