KVM and VGA splitters,mixing the 2

I have a Belkin flip switch setup between 2 p.c.s I am trying to setup a vga splitter on one side(call it #2) and flip just the video,so far the splitter works fine but while I can flip from pc #1 to pc#2 I can't flip back,any ideas would be greatly appreciated,

The one thing I am not clear on is your operation of the Belkin Flip, are you just trying to switch video and not the keyboard and mouse?

The Belkin Flip looks like it gets power from the PS/2 keyboard port (for PS/2 version), or the USB port (USB version). If you are only connecting the video from one cpu channel to a splitter but on the onther channel you actuall have a PC connected using the keyboard and mouse then I would expect that you can only use that port and not switch to the port with video only. This is because the switch doesn't see an active keyboard connection and most low end kvm switches that don't see a keyboard connection won't switch to a port if it thinks there isn't a computer there. If this is how you are trying to use the Belkin Flip try plugging in a computer keyboard port for power and see if this solves your problem.
