(resolved)Think my DVD drive is dead

Well, I'm pretty sure it's dead, but I thought I'd post here to see if there's anything else I can do. First I tried putting in some DVD+R's.. it just stalls there with the CD loading icon for about 2 minutes, then when it finally stops I click the drive and it asks me to put a disc in. Tried dvd-roms, movies.. nothing. I updated the firmware as well, but no avail. And neither Nero nor ImgBurn can recognize a disc in the drive, so I'm pretty convinced it's as good as dead. Is there anything else anyone would suggest I try? Thanks

Nevermind, I just went ahead and bought a new drive and everything is fine now. Thanks anyway.
