Adding Multifunction Panel
I recently added a multifunction panel to my Dell Dimension 8100 computer so I had a card reader and a couple of USB ports on the front of my computer. However the USB 2.0 ports have a connector on the end of them that I have since learned is called a 2x5 header connector.
How do I add 2x5 headers to a motherboard that doesn't have them? Is there a PCI card that has them? Is there a cable that could give me the 2x5 connector on one side and a single USB male on the other (I have a USB 2.0 PCI card with one internal USB connector). Thanks for the help, Po |

This card supports two internal usb ports http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...2407&CatId=511
You will have to look at the picture to see if the cables match the int plugs.

Nice Card
I was looking at that card just a couple of days ago actually. Problem is it has USB ports for the internal connections, not USB headers. I wouldn't mind getting the card but then I'll need something to convert my 2x5 female connector to USB Female.
Do you know of anything? |
