Pinnacle PCTV Delay

I have a pinaccle pctv, and sometimes when i use it i get a 4 - 5 second delay between the sound (which is on time) and the video (which is being delayed). but sometimes when using it normally, its all in sync, and when i press record its in sync too....whats wrong?

I'm not very familiar with this program. Does it seem to have the delay when you are watching a specific thing every time, or just randomly? Have you tried reinstalling the program?
