logitech keyboard...very odd >.>

hi guys, ive got a bit of an odd one for u...

i got my new comp a little while ago and with it i bought a logitech keyboard media elite. as u might guess i pluged it in and instaled the drivers and off i went...not a problem...

but a few days/week later i turned on my comp and for some reason it decided it no longer liked the keyboard and didnt want to recognize it... O_o
so i pluged it into another port (usb) and off i went again... figured it was a random glitch of some kind...

A few boots later and the same things happens... i turned on the usb suport in the computer setup and tried uninstaling the drivers all to no effect... i eventualy went to device manager and did *right clik - uninstal* and it worked :)

Dodgy drivers i thought, and went on using the keyboard not fussed about the loss of special functions that the drivers offer...

But even now the damn thing is still refusing to recognise upon boot-up.
without fail every time i turn on the comp, whatever port its pluged into refuses to detect it, and everytime i goto go uninstal it

i use a firewall and i have antivirus, the pc is new and has given me no other troubles at all. its a good system (xp, duel core2, ddr2-1gig) etc.

If anyone had any idea how i might go about fixing this anoying problem please let me know.

thanks.
