Simple fan question
Should the fan on my CPU (P4 3 Ghz) be blowing down towards the heatsink and CPU? or should it be blowing out away from the CPU? I always thought the fan in my last PC was blowing away from the CPU, but this one seems to be blowing towards it.

this is a contraversial topic...
as far as i was told, they blow towards the heat sink. all of the ones i have, and all the ones i have seen blow towards. i hear tell of ones that blow away. if you didnt flip it over, and it is blowing towards the heatsink, then i would leave it that way.

They're a lot more effective blowing on the HS as opposed to sucking air through it.
