Grin HELP!! I have ghosts.....

My monitor has grey horizontal text ghosts lines across the entire screen every- where that text is. We have tried moving the monitor away from the main box, away from the speakers and everything else. We even bought a brand new monitor and still the same problems exists. IT at work can't help and Hewlett Packard can't help, so I thought that I would ask the true pro's. The monitor is a CRT type of beast.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Have you looked for the newest drivers on the video card manufacturers website?

How about some specs on your hardware?

My old G3 with a Voodoo3 has the problem very badly, and when I purchased a brand new G4 and a NEC MultiSync 97F display a couple years ago, it had the "ghosting feature" from day one, though not very bad... barely noticable.
Nobody has ever been able to give me a good solution, I am sure my video card/drivers are fine... so I have never bothered to fix it.
