Monitor black point very dark
Hi, I wasn't sure where to put this since i'm not sure where the problem is located at. Anyway, my problem is that i got doom 3 back when it first came out. My friend, who uses an lcd, said that my doom looked bright compared to his so i decided to run a monitor calibration program. Back then i didn't know that lcds are darker than the kind of monitor i have(i do now tho
). After i ran the program, it made my monitor a lot darker than what i previously had. I played doom for a while with the new settings but i noticed that now i was even darker than my friend's lcd. I tried to reset my monitor back to how it use to be but i couldn't. I uninstalled the program thinking it would fix this problem but nothing happened. Now my screen is dark even before windows boots up. I changed my graphics card seeing if that was the problem but it still didn't fix anything. I looked on some sites to see what the problem is and all i can see is that my black point is too dark. I've run every gamma and calibration program out there i could find and still nothing. I'm starting to think my monitor has just suddenly gotten darker on me. If anyone knows how to fix this problem i would REALLY appreciate it.
