Disk wont change in CD drive without resarting
I have a rather odd problem where by i cant change my disk in any of my CD ROM’s without restarting windows. Every time I put a different disk in the drive it wont auto run or even detect it the drive seems to think its the previous disk that’s in still but if i restart windows it detects the new disk but wont detect any disk changes.
I have a lite-on DVD drive and C-RW drive but I’m certain the problem definitely isn’t with the drive as my virtual drives created with daemon tools have the exact same problem I run windows XP fully updated except for sp2(is it released yet?) Anyway this is proving very frustrating any help will be greatly appreciated I have had a quick search on the internet and these forums but i cant find anyone with the same problem. Thanx in advance, Oliver.

Try deleting the CD's from device manager and rebooting to see if that gets it's mind right. Also, even though the symptoms aren't exactly the same, try the remedy in this MS-KB article Q3320553. http://support.microsoft.com/default...&Product=winxp
