cd drive on laptop?
hey i have had and used my fujitsu siemens, and have used it to its full... untill now, i have gone to open a file what had been saved to a cd, and when i go t my computer the cd drive is now showing, but the thing wht confuses me, is that the drive still has power, i have also noticed a few times, when bruning disks, on the 3rd one, it fails, i have to wait a few hrs before i can burn another disk....
can some one tell me whats goin on please thanks

I confess I don't understand what you're saying regarding the CD drive problem ("still has power"???).
AS for the CD-burning, it's a very processor-intensive job. This generates more heat than in normal use. Laptops stuffed with components can't remove heat as efficiently as a large, half-empty metal desktop case. So it's almost certainly a build-up of heat which affects the laptops performance. When it cools down it works OK again for a while. Take note of where the air vents are on the laptop case and keep them well clear of obstructions, that may help.
