Is monitor scan converter needed?
My 10 year old+ [who knows?] 13" crt monitor died recently. Been using it/w a cheap ccd camera for driveway/porch observation while working in my shop indoors. It has RCA A/V jacks only. Have year-old 19" lcd vga monitor left over from major pc upgrade[needed dvi monitor for video card for dvd burner, etc] that I'd like to use w/ccd camera. All it has on back is VGA female & pc audio in. Since camera used composite video RCA jack on old crt, could I use an adaptor cable of some sort to plug it into the vga socket of the lcd monitor? I went through this a few years ago trying to plug a dvd player into a laptop for the video. My camra scans 320 TV lines, scsi.
