Help me delete WINXP from my HD??
Hey guys, I dont know hardly anyhting about computers. This is why I really need your help!
I recently re-installed Windows XP and wiped my HD clean. Everyting is much better now too. The only problem is that The old version of WinXP is still on my Drive:D. How do I get it off of there? I really need to know because its eating all of my memory on D drive except for 78Mb. Any help is appreciated, and the sooner the better! At least it is a learning Expierence for me eh? hehe Thanks! I see nobody else is posting so I'll offer my 2 cents even though I'm sure there is a better way..... I would insert my Win98 startup disk, or any dos disk, reset the computer and make sure A: boots first. Then get to c:\> and type "format d:"
Not sure if in xp you can just go to START--->Run, type "cmd" <RETURN> and go from there....but you could try it. Just make sure you are formatting the correct Drive since there is no going back, you should probably go to the drive first in dos and type "D:" and in d:\> type "dir/p" to make sure that this is the drive you wish to delete. There may be a better way, thats just how I would do it..

Why don't you stick to one section for your request, it just gets confusing when you post the same query in multiple places.
Answered in hard disks...
