My System

Welcome to the forum Dr. ! Different memory has different amount of pins ie ddr has 184 pins, ddr2 has over 200 contact pins. Older versions of memory like PC100 dimm's are physically smaller that a std size DDR dimm. Depending on the motherboard you have and the type of memory it supports will determine the type of memory you'll need. List your motherboard and what operating sys you'll have on it, and/or list your specs like you see in my sig and we'll be able to give you some suggestions ! You should be able to find the name of the mfg of the motherboard and model # silkscreened on the motherboard itself. Hope to hear from you.

Download Everest Home Edition: http://www.lavalys.com/products/over...?pid=1&lang=en and it'll tell you exactly what type of memory you have installed.

Actually, look for PC133 SDRAM, you do NOT want PC100.
