Logitech G5 button help
Hi guys, I recently picked up a logitech G5 laser mouse and while I've been impressed with the smooth movement and comfort in games I've still got a problem with the buttons. For instance I cannot bind the thumb ("back") button to any action in any game that I've tried (tried F.E.A.R, WoW, etc). Same with the tilt wheel. They just don't seem to recognise the extra buttons. :(
I am upset by this as one of the reasons I purchased this mouse was so that I might have a couple extra buttons compared to my previous (standard) mouse. I would love to be able to set the tilt wheel to peek around corners and the thumb button to melee attack in F.E.A.R but at this rate it just doesn't look like it's happening. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a ton guys. (note: I have the latest firmware as well as the logitech setpoint program that comes with the mouse - searched through all the options to no avail) |

Oh and I should add that the back button and tilt wheel do work properly on the windows interface - which I guess shows that they are not completely useless, although I'm quite fine wiith clicking 'back' on a webpage and I've got a widescreen monitor so I hardly ever have to side scroll. :D
