I continue to get runner error, could not load the target dll("c:\programfiles\backweb\backwebclinet\6.1.0.153\program\backweb.dll",error code 126.
Also I have doulble on under program files and control panel.
I also can't access my user account to set up another account. the icon is there but will not come up.
Thanks for any help and God bless,

Go to http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dl....shtml?backweb and download the backweb.dll file and copy it into the folder " c:\programfiles\backweb\backwebclinet\6.1.0.153\program "
Click on yes to replace it. See if that will work and solve your problem.

If that doesn't work, you might want to try a repair install of the program if its an option, and if not, back up any program data thats important and reinstall it.

I would not reinstall because of this error. "Backweb" is a simple updater program used my some products (Like older logitect mice/keyboards) and HP, Compaq, Dell, Gateway...computers. You need to find out which software program is using this 'Updater' and simply disable it's startup as it's really not needed.

This sounds like an HP/Compaq PC..since it's a "runner error".

If so...

1. click START>>>>RUN>>>> type in msconfig.
2. Once the window opens...click on the STARTUP tab.
3. Locate the entry that says "Backweb or Updater" and uncheck the box.
4. Click Apply and OK to reboot.

Once you reboot you'll get a message on startup that your using "Selective Startup". Click "Don't Remind me again" You need to remove this startup entry for the "Backweb" updater to stop the message from appearing on startup.
