LCD panels usually come with bad pixels. Some are stuff off - colors which refuse to turn on. Others are stuck on - colors which refuse to turn off. Yours sounds like the latter. LCDs come with different kinds of bad pixel warranties. Usually you have to have more than a few bad pixels within a certain area or above a certain total on the whole screen before they'll replace them. You'll need to check their bad pixel warranty to see what the rules are. Some high-end LCDs will guarantee no bad pixels but they're more expensive. I've heard claims that "messaging" the pixel (pressing it gently) sometimes revives them and I suppose that's possible given the nature of how LCDs work. You could also scratch the screen or cause more damage. If you want to try that then I'd read about it before trying it.
