Windows isn't booting

Okay, my friend's computer broke out of nowhere. I've checked all cords, reset bios, and tried booting off of a Windows disk and still nothing. I can't find any problems and still, no boot. Help would be much appreciated.

Hello Goldchimp007, and Welcome to TSF!

For us to properly assess your friend's computer, we will need some information about the system specs of it.

Go to the links,"Posting System Specs" & "Everest™ Home Edition" in my signature; and use them to give us the system specs of your friend's computer.

Post the specs here; once we have them we will be able to start to assist you.

Do the fans in the system spin freely?? Are they free of dust??

Does the computer get to the POST screen??

Try safe mode or last known good configuration, by tapping F8 during the initial stages of boot

Not much to work with!

You're not really giving us much to work with. You simply said the computer was broken. There were no error messages of any kind? And the computer won't boot, that seems very unusual. Have you installed any new hardware or software recently?
