cctv

Hi all again has anyone connected a cctv camera to a pc ??
i have a cctv camera that couples to the tv by a scart plug and wanted to use it on my pc, so i connected it through the usb by going through a ABAPTEC box that i used to couple my video to the pc to convert video to disc the ABAPTEC box is connected to the scart with the 3 audio leads red/yellow/white these then connect to a scart to audio lead splitter box that is connected to the cctv camera (are u following this ) well i do get a picture and sound but they are not brilliant though so i recon i am loosing quallity by going through to many boxes/cables etc has anyone go any idea how i could improve it or get a more direct connection to the pc.
how u understand all this

Have you tried Do it your self kits. Its is being very useful for non technical person.
