More Ram for a Dell

My friend has a Dell Dimension 8250 and needs more ram, but Dell wants so much for there ram, she only has 256 and would like that much more. I found one place called Edge, are they reliable?
If you know of another one let me know.

Florence

The story behind Rambus, the makers of RDRAM, is an interesting one. Intel made the mistake of championing RDRAM, which was horribly expensive and didn't offer much of an improvement over plain old SDRAM. The market balked. Rambus started throwing lawsuits around, claiming they owned the rights to SDRAM as well as RDRAM. The house of cards collapsed when Intel withdrew their backing.
Unless you can find some RDRAM dirt cheap out of a broken PC, you might be better off to just save for a new PC. Turn the old one into a Linux PC.
