24 volt power supply in a 20v system?
I have a pos system that the power supply went belly up. It requires 20 volts/2.2 amps. Can I safely hook up a 24 volt/2.2 amp power supply to my system. I already tried it and it powered up and none of the circuits seemed to have got hot (they got warm, but they normally do). I dont want to cause any long term damage to my pos (point of sale) touchscreen system. Any advice would be very much appreciated.
