Quick PSU question.
Hello I just wanted to review with you guys and make sure my system is running as it should be. Here's the specs :
AMD 64 3500 + DFI Lanparty UT nF4 SLI-DR Expert 2 gigs Kingston DDR PC3200 ram. (4x512mb). I do not believe they are all running at the same timings... how do I check that? I bought one set of kingston 2x512's and then bought another another some time later, i don't think they are the exact same ones. eVGA 7800 GT 256MB PCI-E. Antec 550W PS. 30A on 12v rail. 1 320 gig sata 2 WD HD. 1 120 gig IDE WD HD. Link to my sensor view info http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...sensorview.jpg Just wanting to check up and everything! And wanted to see if my power supply is powerful enough, just bought a new case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811146018 . It has 2 120MM blue LED fans and 1 80 MM fan. |

Well, probably about normal. Keep an eye on it. Have a look at it if you do any heavy gaming. Should be fine though. That case you have seems to have great air flow, with 4 fans, you should be good.

If you're thinking about a better CPU heatsink, SPCR just upgraded their list..
http://www.silentpcreview.com/article30-page1.html SPCR is dedicated to quiet computing, but in this case their viewpoint works well for all of us because a heatsink has to be very effective in order to work in a quiet system. Wish I'd known about them before I bought a Zalman 9500. The Scythe Ninja is cheaper and rates higher! |

Also, make sure the air flow through the case is good. It's fine having loads of fans but if there's clutter and wires etc. in the way then it won't be effective and make sure they're blowing in the right direction. The CPU fan should blow down onto the processor, front case fans should blow air in though the case and rear fans should blow air out of the back.

I linked to my new case I bought a few days ago. It's got plenty of fans and they were already in position. Everything elses temps are fine. Maybe when I get home I will pull it out and put some arctic silver 5 on it, don't know if I have done it yet on my processor. And clean it out as well.
