What kind of power supply

Got a quick question for you. I am working on a computer and it has a power supply that I have never seen before. Instead of having the normal 2 connectors (the p1 and the other small 4 pin square connector on the motherboard), it has 1 more connector that plugs into the motherboard. It's about half the size of a p1 connector. Is this some sort of special power supply? Thanks for any help.

My System

If you count the pins, is it set up in a grid, 2x8 pins (I think there is another version that is 2x5 pins too, does it look like that)? If so, this is another motherboard adapter that is used on several high end boards, dual processor boards, and many server boards. If you don't have a plug in you rmotherboard for this, don't worry about it. The power supply should still work just fine- just tuck that cable behind something to keep it out of the way.
If your still unsure, post a picture of it and we can be absolutely sure of what it is!
Cheers!

Yea the board has the place for that plug. I believe it is 2x8 but I will check it out later today when I see it again. Does that plug have to be used since it has the place for it on the board or can you still sufficiently power the system with the other two connectors on the board? Basically I think that this particular ps isn't providing enough power for the system so I am trying to find a replacement. Do computer stores carry these or do you have to get them online. Thanks
