Webcam Problems

2 days ago i bought a TalkCam messenger pro webcam from v-gear for my iMac. i installed all the software from the CD included and launched the webcam on the webcam monitor that came with the disc. my webcam worked for about 10 seconds then blacked out. i found out i had 2 update the driver which made my webcam work again, but only for the webcam monitor and not for ichat or any other chat programms. Then i put my computer to sleep and went to bed. the next morning i wanted to use my webcam and it didnt work anymore saying there was no webcam connected.
i hav no clue what happened.

if any1 could help me i'd rly appreciate it.

ok i somehow fixed the webcam by plugging it in and out a few times.
but now there is another problem: the webcam only works for webcam monitor and not for msn and tht stuff.
any help?
