Networking a video hard drive recorder

Hi
Have got a hard driver recorder (Pioneer DVR-630H)and was wondering if anyone has tried networking them? They have a USB port (for external keyboard) and firewire port (for DV camera). I think the recorder runs a version of windows media centre. I've attached it to computer firewire port, the HDR is recognized but trying to open it gives a "device already in use" error.

Any ideas? Thanks

For the "device already in use" error, try uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it.
