adelphia cable question

Hey everyone. Just got dsl after getting ticked off with adelphia (speed slowing down, etc) But I have a few questions. How come adelphia cut off on me 4-5 times the other night and it would work great for a while then cut off? Also cut off for a few min off and on during day? I would have to go and unplug modem and cable from cable jack and plug it back in.. it would be fine then fussy again after a while.. I had charter before I move dhere in NY and if it was fussy unplug everything then back in and fine.. But how come you dont have to do this with dsl? I had dsl in NY and never cut off in any kind of bad weather ( it hink once for like 2 hrs in 2-3 yrs LOL) SO how come dsl is better in any kind of weather and cable is fussy?
